Julian Khol was born 1979 in Vienna Austria and studied at the University of applied arts Vienna under Christian Ludwig Attersee and at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf under Professor Herbert Brandl where he made his Meisterschüler Diploma in 2011. He has been included in numerous solo and group exhibitions at institutions, such as the Karl Osthaus Museum Hagen Germany, Museum Glaspalast Augsburg Germany; Koenig Galerie Berlin, Installation ACHotel Miami Art Basel USA,Kandlhofer Vienna Austria, Palazzo Heureka Venice Italy.
He was exhibited alongside Franz West, Herbert Brandl, Arnulf Rainer, Katharina Grosse, Neo Rauch, Jonathan Messe, Anne Imhof, Alicja Kwade, Jorinde Voigt, Andy Warhol, Erwin Wurm, Heimo Zobernig, Michael Sailstorfer, Albert Oehlen, Elmgreen und Dragset, Tony Cragg and many more.
Julian Khol studied painting and only started to exhibit sculptures in 2018. Since then, sculpture and installation became a very big and successful part of his artistic practice.
